The posters evokes the threat of a German invasion of the United States during WWI. A monkey, holding a club in his right hand and a woman in his left hand, steps on a shore bearing the text "America". The monkey personifies the German emperor, William II., as can be seen by the Pickelhaube on his head and the typical moustache. The title "Destroy this mad brute" and "Enlist" asks Americans to join the military against Germany.
